You've Been Told Everything Is "Normal."
But You Know It's Not

PEAK's Functional Medicine program finds what conventional medicine missed. We dig into the root causes of your symptoms using advanced lab testing, structured protocols, and a team that won't give up on you.

"Serving over 500 member families" | 5 stars on Google

We limit the number of Functional Medicine patients we take on so every person gets the time and attention they deserve. Limited Strategic Health Call appointments available each month.

You've Done Everything "Right." And You Still Feel Terrible

You've been to your family medicine practitioner. You've seen specialists. You've had bloodwork done and been told "everything looks normal."

But you know something is off.

The fatigue that doesn't go away no matter how much you sleep. The brain fog that makes you feel like you're losing yourself. The gut issues that nobody can explain. The weight that won't budge despite doing everything you're supposed to do.

You've been dismissed, misdiagnosed, or told to "just manage it" with another prescription.

You don't need another practitioner who spends 7 minutes with you and orders the same basic labs. You need someone willing to actually look.

Different Labs. Different Questions. Different Results.

Functional Medicine is a systems-based approach that looks at how your body actually works, not just whether you've crossed a disease threshold.

Standard bloodwork checks about 20 markers. We run panels that can include 80 to 200+ markers depending on your case. We're looking at things most practitioners never test:

  • Gut health: bacterial balance, yeast overgrowth, parasites, intestinal permeability

  • Hormone function: full thyroid panels (not just TSH), adrenal output, sex hormones

  • Nutrient status: vitamins, minerals, amino acids, fatty acid balance

  • Immune function: inflammatory markers, autoimmune triggers, hidden infections

  • Toxin burden: mold exposure, heavy metals, environmental chemicals

  • Metabolic health: insulin resistance, mitochondrial function, methylation pathways

The difference between "normal" and "optimal" is often where the answer lives. Conventional medicine waits until you're sick enough to diagnose. We look for the dysfunction before it becomes a disease.

A Clear Path From Confusion To Answers

Step 1: Strategic Health Call

A focused call with Dr. Touchinsky, the founder and CEO of PEAK Integrative Medicine, or a member of our clinical team. We review your history, your symptoms, and your goals.

Here's exactly what you'll walk away with, whether you enroll or not:

  • A detailed timeline of your health history and what you've tried

  • How you responded to past treatments and what that tells us

  • Possible root causes contributing to your current issues

  • Recommended testing to confirm or rule out those root causes

  • A general overview of what the next 4 to 6 months of care could look like

All of this is compiled into a written health summary that's yours to keep regardless of whether you choose to work with us.

If Functional Medicine isn't the right fit, we'll tell you. And if we know a provider or specialist better suited for your situation, we'll point you there.

Step 2: Enroll and Build Your Foundations

You enroll in your Functional Medicine membership, and your care starts with two visits that set up everything that follows.

The Foundations Visit. Healing starts at the foundations, so your first visit is with our health coach: a full review of your diet, lifestyle, and daily routines, plus a walkthrough of how care at PEAK works, what to expect, and how to reach us. You leave with one or two high-leverage changes to start right away. Not a 40-point overhaul on day one. The one or two changes that give your body the most leverage while we investigate.

The Medical Intake Visit. Then you sit down with your Functional Medicine provider for a deep dive into your medical history: what you've been diagnosed with, what you've tried, and what testing you've already had. You leave this visit with a testing plan built for your case. We only order what your case requires.

Step 3: Review Labs + Initial Plan

Once your results are in, you meet with your provider to walk through what the labs found and what they mean. You leave with a written plan focused on a handful of moves, the ones we expect to make the biggest difference in how you feel and how you heal. What matters most comes first; the rest gets layered in as your body is ready.

Step 4: Ongoing Care

Periodic check-ins, protocol adjustments, follow-up labs as needed. Your provider is available via direct messaging between visits. You're seen as often as needed to properly monitor your case and adjust your plan. You're not doing this alone.

Functional Medicine Is For The Cases
Everyone Else Gave Up On

This is for you if:

  • You've been told your labs are "normal" but you still feel awful

  • You've been diagnosed with something but the treatment isn't working

  • You're dealing with fatigue, brain fog, gut problems, hormone issues, autoimmune symptoms, or unexplained weight changes

  • You've seen multiple specialists and nobody is connecting the dots

  • You're tired of managing symptoms and want to find the actual cause

  • You want a proactive, data-driven approach to your health, not a reactive one

This is probably not for you if:

  • You're looking for a quick fix or a single appointment solution

  • You're not willing to make changes to diet, lifestyle, or daily habits

  • You need emergency care (please go to your nearest emergency room)

  • You're dealing with cancer as a primary concern.

If cancer is your primary health concern, we recommend Dr. Michael Robinson at Nourish Healthcare. Dr. Robinson takes an integrative approach to oncology and is located in Darien, IL.

PEAK patients who are working with Dr. Robinson can still use our services that support their care, including IV therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, red light therapy, PEMF, and other supportive treatments as indicated. If Dr. Robinson's wait time is long, ask about associate availability.

Who You Will Be Working With

Buddy Touchinsky, DC, CFMP | Founder

Dr. Touchinsky founded PEAK Integrative Medicine and has been practicing in the Orwigsburg community for over 20 years. He designed PEAK's Functional Medicine program and oversees the clinical direction of every case in it. He is a Certified Functional Medicine Practitioner with advanced training through Functional Medicine University and the Living Proof Institute, and his clinical focus is the complex, unresolved case: chronic fatigue, gut dysfunction, autoimmune conditions, hormonal imbalances, and metabolic issues that conventional medicine hasn't been able to explain or resolve.

Christin Kellett, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC, FNP-C | Your Primary Provider

After your Strategic Health Call, your ongoing Functional Medicine care is managed by Christin Kellett, your primary provider at PEAK.

Christin is a board-certified family nurse practitioner trained in Functional Medicine. She manages your case end to end: your testing plan, your treatment protocols, plan adjustments as follow-up labs come in, and your questions by direct message between visits.

She also collaborates with Dr. Rodriguez and Dr. Touchinsky on cases, so the plan you're following carries the combined experience of the whole team, not one provider working alone.

Liana Rodriguez, DO, FMCP-M | Medical Director

Dr. Rodriguez is PEAK's Medical Director. A physician certified in Functional Medicine, she specializes in hormone optimization and consults with PEAK's practitioners on medical and Functional Medicine cases.

An Investment In Answers, Not Just Appointments

Functional Medicine is a deeper level of care. These cases are complex. In the first months, we spend significant time analyzing past records, ordering and interpreting advanced labs, and building individualized protocols. Visits may be more frequent during this phase.

Our pricing reflects that reality. The step-down structure means your cost decreases as your care shifts from intensive investigation to longer-term monitoring and support. We want to make it affordable for you to continue having access to our team as your health improves, whether that's for follow-up labs, protocol adjustments, or periodic check-ins.

After 4 months, your membership goes month to month. You can cancel anytime.

There is a one-time enrollment fee when you join: $299 for the first person, $149 for a second member of your household, and never more than $599 total for a family of three or more.

Functional Medicine Membership Fees:

Individual

Months 1-4 - $299/mo

Months 5-8 - $199/mo

Month 9+ - $149/mo

Couple

Months 1-4 - $499/mo

Months 5-8 - $299/mo

Month 9+ - $229/mo

Single Parent + Children

Months 1-4 - $399/mo

Months 5-8 - $249/mo

Month 9+ - $199/mo

Family

Months 1-4 - $549/mo

Months 5-8 - $329/mo

Month 9+ - $249/mo

Important: Functional Medicine Plans do not include family medicine visits, acute care, urgent care, or chiropractic. If you need to see a practitioner for a cold, flu, earache, or other acute issue unrelated to your Functional Medicine case, you'll need a separate family medicine provider. If you want full family medicine plus Functional Medicine, the Core + Functional Medicine Add-On combination is the best value.

Functional Medicine Add-On (for existing Core members):

Already a Core member? Click here to learn about adding Functional Medicine to your existing membership.

What about labs?

Lab costs are separate from your membership. They vary based on your case, but here's what to expect (approximate fees):

Lab Type

Comprehensive Blood Panel

Gut Function / Microbiome Testing

Advanced Hormone Panel

Mold / Mycotoxin Testing

Food Sensitivity Panel

Typical Cost

$347

$400

$200 - $300

$400

$250 - $450

We only order what your case requires. Oftentimes we can get a lot of information from just a comprehensive blood panel. If you know you have longstanding gut issues, we'd likely recommend that test as well. But even if we want two or three tests up front, if cost is a factor, we can spread them out over time. We're happy to discuss the pros and cons of ordering more tests initially versus spreading them out, because there are advantages to both approaches.

We want to be fully transparent so you know what to prepare for. Your provider walks you through costs before anything is ordered. Labs may be HSA/FSA eligible depending on your plan; verify with your plan administrator.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's a Strategic Health Call?

A 30-minute call with Dr. Touchinsky or a member of our clinical team. We review your health history, symptoms, and goals. You'll leave with a written health summary including your illness timeline, possible root causes, recommended testing, and a general overview of the next 4 to 6 months of care. That summary is yours to keep whether you enroll or not. There is no cost for this call.

Why is Functional Medicine more expensive than Core?

Functional Medicine involves advanced lab testing, longer visits, individualized treatment protocols, and ongoing provider access. The time and expertise required per patient is significantly higher than standard family medicine. The step-down pricing reflects that the heaviest work happens in the first four months, and we want ongoing care to be affordable.

Do I need Core membership to do Functional Medicine?

No. Fx Med Standalone works on its own. However, Fx Med Standalone does not include family medicine visits, acute care, urgent care, or chiropractic. If you want full family medicine coverage plus Functional Medicine, the Core + Fx Med Add-On is the best value.

How long does it take to see results?

Most patients begin noticing changes within 4 to 8 weeks of starting their protocol. Significant improvement typically occurs over 3 to 6 months. Complex cases (autoimmune, mold, chronic infection) may take longer. We set realistic expectations during your Strategic Health Call.

Can I cancel after the first 4 months?

Yes. After your 4-month commitment, your membership goes month to month. You can continue at the lower rate or cancel anytime. No long-term contracts.

I've had "functional medicine" testing before and it didn't help. Why would this be different?

We hear this a lot. In many cases, the testing was fine but the interpretation or follow-through was lacking. At PEAK, your provider builds a structured protocol from your results, monitors your progress with periodic check-ins, and adjusts as you go. This isn't "run labs and hand you a supplement list." It's a managed care program.

Can I use my HSA or FSA?

Yes. PEAK memberships and most lab testing are generally eligible for HSA/FSA payment. We provide the documentation you need.

You've Waited Long Enough For Answers

The Strategic Health Call is where it starts. Thirty minutes to find out if PEAK's Functional Medicine program is the right next step for your health. You'll leave with a written health summary regardless of whether you enroll.

Strategic Health Call appointments are limited each month. New enrollment capacity is also limited to ensure every patient gets the attention they deserve.

Meet Dr. Buddy Touchinsky, DC, CFMP

Dr. Buddy Touchinsky, DC, CFMP

Founder and CEO, has been serving the community of Orwigsburg professionally and personally through local leadership roles for 15 years.

Dr. Touchinsky is a chiropractor and functional medicine practitioner with a focus on creative solutions and innovative methods to help people solve their problems and maximize their health. It was in his chiropractic practice that missing links within the full health of an individual became apparent.

Many of the patients he treated were dealing with issues caused by poor diet, lack of exercise, inadequate sleep, and other lifestyle-related factors that the traditional healthcare system was not addressing. This led Dr. Touchinsky to study and become certified in functional medicine and to develop a team of like-minded practitioners that are with us today.

HERE'S WHAT MOST PEOPLE DON'T REALIZE...

3 Misconceptions About Health & Resilience

Low Energy = Red Flag For Systemic Issues

Getting to the bottom of seemingly unrelated issues is crucial to understanding the systemic, full-body health challenges that need immediate attention. By tackling these interconnected problems head-on, you can finally reclaim your vitality and live life fully. It's not just about managing symptoms; it's about understanding the root causes and addressing them swiftly, so you can move from merely surviving to truly thriving.

It Isn't Just
"Getting Older"

Did you know that feeling run down all the time isn't just "getting older"? You may be reaching a tipping point of built-up inflammation that can trigger more serious health events, even beyond just feeling run down and fatigued. Fortunately, addressing interconnected imbalances like gut health and hormone disruptions early allows you to move out of the 'red zone' and back into high energy, reducing the risk of future catastrophic events.
